Company’s Dubai offices closed; investors seek investigation and travel bans on management

Investors in Hedge & Sachs are claiming a total of Dh500 million in halted payments, according to a report by the Financial Times. The company’s offices in Dubai have reportedly closed after failing to pay rent, as of late October 2026.

Representatives of approximately 1,000 investors have requested authorities to investigate the situation and impose travel bans on the company’s management. Hedge & Sachs did not respond to requests for comment from the Financial Times or Gulf News, with emails to the company returned undelivered.

On Reddit’s ‘r/UAE’ forum, users identifying as Hedge & Sachs investors reported stopped payments and uncertainty about repayment dates. Some discussed restructuring updates and the possibility of pursuing legal action. A user claiming to be a former employee mentioned delays in salaries and commissions, attributing the issues to temporary banking problems.

Hedge & Sachs, in a November 2025 announcement via GlobeNewswire, described its investment offerings as linked to foreign exchange, property-backed securities, and subscription-based programs, serving both individual and institutional investors. The company’s website lists its Dubai business as Hedge and Sachs Financial Consultations L.L.C., with a Category 5 licence for financial consultations.

Public records show the company’s advisory licence does not cover the asset and fund management activities claimed on its LinkedIn profile. The profile describes a 200-member team managing assets for over 4,000 clients worldwide, with operations in the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, and India.

In May 2024, the Dubai Financial Services Authority clarified that Hedge and Sachs Financing Broker LLC was never incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre or authorised by the DFSA to provide financial services. The company’s current licence concerns its onshore Dubai financial-consultations business.
