Over 2,300 drones and the largest single firework ever launched will feature in Ras Al Khaimah’s 15-minute midnight display on 31 December 2025.

Ras Al Khaimah is preparing to mark the arrival of 2026 with the largest fireworks display ever seen in the emirate, aiming to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title, according to an announcement on 11 December 2025. The Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve celebration will showcase a 15-minute show stretching six kilometres from Marjan Island to Al Hamra, featuring over 2,300 drones and culminating in the launch of the largest single firework ever attempted.

The creative concept for this year’s event draws on symbols of strength, renewal, and the emirate’s spirit of progress. The fireworks will be combined with illuminated drones and lasers, transforming the night sky into a stage for light, colour, and visual effects on an unprecedented scale. Organisers have stated that the midnight display will be among the most expansive globally, with the use of both pyro and laser drones to create intricate formations.

Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year’s Eve programme includes two fireworks shows. The first will take place above Corniche Al Qawasim at 8:00 PM, offering an early celebration for families and residents. The main event, the 15-minute signature show, will begin at midnight over Marjan Island and Al Hamra bay, combining advanced pyrotechnics and large-scale drone choreography.

The Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Festival, held at Al Hamra, will be open to the public free of charge from 2:00 PM. The festival will feature live entertainment, food trucks, and carnival-style activities for families. The stage lineup includes DJ BobMix, known for blending international and Arabic music, a live performance by Indo-Canadian Bollywood singer Shweta Subram, and an international set by DJ Bia.

To facilitate access, multiple parking zones will be available around the festival area, including a dedicated space for caravans and camping. All event attendees are required to register their vehicles in advance at www.raknye.com, which will determine their parking zone and provide essential information on entry and exit routes. Registration is mandatory for all vehicles attending the event.

Audiences unable to attend in person can watch the record-setting fireworks display via a live stream on www.raknye.com and across the @visitrasalkhaimah social media channels, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Ras Al Khaimah has achieved 13 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles for its New Year’s Eve celebrations over the past seven years, reinforcing its reputation as a leading destination for large-scale public spectacles.
